I began this blog in September of 2009. It was inspired by the Painting a Day movement. Although most of the earlier work posted here is less direct and involved more than one sitting to complete, the idea was similar to the daily painters in that I intended to regularly offer small, affordable oil paintings, mostly of the human figure, that were consistent with and derived from my larger, more thematic work. My intention was to post a new painting every other day, and the project was quite successful. However, I have now turned my attention to commissioned portraiture. I will continue to post both new and older work to the blog. Please come back often, or subscribe to follow this blog at the link below. I look forward to your comments, and please email any questions to email@example.com.
You did a good job Charles applying the paint, good work overall. Especially the pearl earringsReplyDelete

So wonderful to see an almost purely figurative daily painter.ReplyDelete
I especially enjoy your series of the figure reflected. It's such an interesting puzzlement for both the artist and the viewer.
