Paintings by Charles Pompilius
I began this blog in September of 2009. It was inspired by the Painting a Day movement. Although most of the work posted here is less direct and involved more than one sitting to complete, the idea was similar to the daily painters in that I intended to regularly offer small, affordable oil paintings, mostly of the human figure, that were consistent with and derived from my larger, more thematic work. My intention was to post a new painting every other day, and the project was quite successful. However, I have now turned my attention to commissioned portraiture. I will continue to post new work to the blog, mostly portraits. Please come back often, or subscribe to follow this blog at the link below. I look forward to your comments, and please email any questions to info@charlespompilius.com. You may view my larger work at the David Klein Gallery. Thank you for your interest.
Lovely!

ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and am loving your figures. One simple question . . . how do you paint those beautiful faces that are so small?
